Students are provided with an interactive environment to
integrate and practice external and internal modes of communication and stimulus response under
the tutelage of a certified Trainer. This course starts with a thorough yet
understandable explanation and discussion of what is presupposed in the statements that clients
make and how to utilize this information for a client's benefit ethically. The Hierarchy
of Ideas is used as a frame for implementing and utilizing both general modes (the Milton
Model), as well as specific modes (the Meta Model), of communications, as is situationally
appropriate. This leads to the effective construction of metaphors to help clients shift frames
of reference. The student is taught effective ways to elicit states, linguistically, so
an intervention may be developed. The Submodalities and Stimulus Response/Anchoring
interventions are further explored so that students may assist clients to change negative,
self-defeating beliefs, to instantly change their states, and to adopt a Physiology of
Excellence.
Prerequisites: BNLP 100’s and Pre-Study of listening to the
applicable sections of the Basic Practitioner Tape Set at least three times and doing the
required reading before class starts
