Practitioner’s Script: Coaching to Overcome Procrastination

This session is to be used without hypnosis as a conscious preparation for the hypnotic session. You may offer this session as a recording for the client to listen to while driving or this session may be offered as a handout or simply as a live teaching session. This may also be used as a speech for groups .

Identify and Define the problem :

To Procrastinate is to Substitute a Lower Priority Activity for a Timely or More Important One.

Procrastination is rarely a Lazy Process.

Procrastination involves a Breakdown in our ability to Regulate our Thoughts and Efforts to Achieve Purposeful OUTCOMES .

The Breakdown starts when we perceive an activity as unpleasant and substitute another activity with the expectation that you will do it better at a later time, Manana (Tomorrow) thinking.

Using Cognitive Behavior Therapy ,5 specific steps for overcoming procrastination are offered to the client for conscious work!
